Hello, I am aware of individuals who have done quite welll on 12.5 mgs. The opposite is also true, some people need much much more. However, some literature does not give me the impression that levels greater than 200 mg are effective, mainly due to an increase in undesirable side effects. Please keep in mind that this is an inexact science and that no one dose may be benificial to all. Good luck. Low doses do have confirmed efficacy. Regards. Micro

My pdoc has agreed with me to go back onto zoloft after I have been on Effexor for few months. I couldn't handle the Effexor at all. After stopping the effexor and restarting zoloft, I quickly realised (2 days) that 25mg of zoloft was too low to stop the withdrawal efects coming off the effexor, but 50mg Zoloft is working well, (past 6 days). We aim to find the lowest possible maintenance dose for me, and he believes 25mg Zoloft might be enough. After I stabilize on the 50mg Zoloft then I'll try to go down to 25mg Zoloft. Good Luck to us all.

I was only on 75mg Effexor, it was causing akathesia and night time myoclonus, no good for me.
