I have a question. My doctor switched me from paxil to effexor bc/paxil was causing weight gain. Then I ran out of samples and she hasn't given a prescription for me so I just had to go off them til she comes back from wherever she is (and now i doubt i will come back there). Then, all of a sudden, I started noticing this feeling that the only way i can describe is my brain floating for a few sec. It's almost like a dizziness but nothing is spinning. I even had blood tests at hospital and a cat scan, and they culdn't find anything... has anybody felt that lightheaded type feeling? thanks

Yes, there can be many side effects to withdrawing from Effexor. You'll want to post your message in the Effexor withdrawal thread that starts at (or near) the top of the main Psychobabble page–the same page your post is on. You may find all your answers by just reading through it.
You can click on this thread to go straight there:

Every time you click on the top post in the list underneath each individual post, then you'll keep cycling backward through all previous posts. It keeps going back all the way to 1998, I believe.

And, here's another current thread on the topic:

This is the end of the thread.
