Hello, I am wondering if anyone has experianced this. I have been taking xanax xr 2mg daily for a few months now. I didnt take it last night and today I feel really strange and shaky. Like It takes alot of effort to write or do anything with my hands- I also take 150 mg effexor. Is this a withdrawl effect from not taking the xanax or the way i would feel from just taking effexor alone?
Thanks

Thats a hard question to answer. It could be the Effexor, or it could be a dependency. SSRI's have been known to cause people to "shake." They did me! I take a different anti-anxiety, but I don't shake when I don't take it. The withdrawls are different for me. Maybe talk to your doctor about it.

> ThanksI would guess it is Xanax withdrawl. I would start talking it again & reduce down from it slowly. Benzo withdrawl can be risky. You could suffer a convulsion or worse. How long have you been taking Xanax for?
Cheers,
