Goin off Zoloft only after 6 weeks

Posted by drunkntat2 on January 6, 2004, at 16:24:05

So my situation is this. I have gad, along with mild ocd and have had panic attacks in the past however its been about 2 years since I have had one. I have been self treating myself for the last 2 years by ALOT of exercise (5 times a week for 40 minutes) And that seems to take care of things only every now and again I find myself doing somethen dumb like touching the light switch with my pinky 4 times in a row LOL. Anyhow 6 weeks ago I figured hey! why not at least try medication and see if its a miracle drug or something. So 25mg of zoloft for 2 days then 50 for 4 weeks then I did try 100 for about 3 days but it was wayyyy too much for me to handle so back to 50 I went. I want to stop taking it because it just is not the miracle I though it was. I mean I only feel abit better than I did so why medicate if it does not make things all that better. So can I just stop taking it?

I was on zoloft and I think the pains you are referring from are related to anxiety. I was even taking xanax and still having pains- I figured they werent heart attacks since i do have panic issues. I wouldnt worry about it. Should go away.
