Anyone take deprenyl

Posted by linkadge on December 31, 2003, at 8:30:47

Has anybody here taken Deprenyl for depression alone or in combination with other drugs ?

THe doctor prescribed ritalin to boost Celexa's effectivness. It works very well when I take it. All my old interests are back etc. But it very stimulating, heart racing etc. I was wondering if deprenyl would be better than this.

Hi Linkadge.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I know someone for whom selegiline 5.0mg made all the difference in the world. He was taking amisulpride and Adderall at the time. No SSRIs. He suffered from double-depression (MDD + dysthymia) and possibly CFS.

Good luck.

Did the selegilene have any effect on the CFS-type symptoms?

I can't remember him attributing the resolution of his symptoms specifically to selegiline. However, you can try to search the Psycho-Babble archives for posts by AndrewB.

Good luck.

I currently added Selegiline 5mg/day to my regime along with Amisulpride 50mg/day. Can't say anything as of yet because I've been on it for 3 days only. I will keep posting though.

Take care

What is amisulpride? What does it do? Does it help you?

Yupp it helps tremendously. Do a search on "amisulpride AND btnd" to find out my earlier posts.
I've added Selegiline to even further boost motivation and energy.
