read the article in dec. 1 newsweek. or search numerous others which show, now conclusivly, mental illness is just like tuberculosis, and contageous. the 'contegous' bit is the big deal. i showed this article to my phd, he flipped. why? 'in 15 years of practice i treated 5 autistics. this year it's 15.' his words. he also said this seemed to be going on in the tampa bay area. not in others. the 'pathogen base idea' seems proven---now what?

A tangential note, but interesting, re: autism.

>'in 15 years of practice i treated 5 autistics. this year it's 15'

Not at all uncommon; many docs have commented on this. Read up on stats regarding the recent large increase in autism cases, which seems to follow on the heels of the introduction of mercury-laden combo vaccines into common use (so common that you have to make a special request to get single vaccines these days). Symptoms of autism are very similar to symptoms of mercury poisoning, or so I've read.

If a viral cause of schizophrenia were found it would relieve the guilt of so many parents ... sort of like the discovery of the biological basis for depression ...

thank you again. over the years this hypothesis has been searched, knowing the data made the case for me. it explains the hereditary factor, not as a 'crazy-gene', rather genetic immune system deal. i am an effective naturalist/generalist---that seems an observed and noted 'quality' of left-handed myopics and bipolars---'quality' being the near intuitive gathering of data from varied areas yet reaching the solution, which 'specialist' miss. common sense. really. a successful biz runs best when 'generalist' abound. i feel you're one hell of a 'fast-one'--you came back with solid data fast!!!everyone here must know or need to be shown the facts. i hope, i have the nagual's intent (see 'castaneda) that you spread this data and will please do so.
for god sakes, these disorders are often, perhaps always, totally physical. that message must be gotten-out---big-time. it's already been in pop-media---so, please continue your highly commendable 'pro bono' work, for yourself and the greatest number---and tell them--fair deal---???
