I've recently completed an evaluation of using Mirtazapine as an alternative to Imimpramine for treating my GAD/PD. It was disasterous. It was extremely anxiogenic, made me thick-headed all day
and it produced sever rebound anxiety when I stoped taking it that lasted another ten days.
I loath Mirtazapine, which I understand may work differently for others, but I post this as a caution for anyone considering a similar experiment.

For me Remeron was a very bad choice. For those prone to alergies and who take antihistamines anyway, it may be a good choice. However, I found myself unable to enjoy life simply because I was never full. All day every day I was dreaming of food. It also made me angry, sad, panicky etc.
But, I do know many that have reacted extremely well to it, when SSRI's have failed. Strange
