My doc suggested me trying Provigil instead of Wellbutrin as an augmentor with Paxil. I know nothing about Provigil and am a little nervous. Does anyone have any good or bad info about Provigil?

I couldn't stand Wellbutrin (caused tremendous anxiety etc.), but Provigil gave a nice lift without causing anxiety. I'd definitely try it -- just start with a small dose to see how you react. The pills are easy to divide; maybe try 25 mg at first to be super-cautious, and move up from there.
I haven't seen many really negative reactions to Provigil here -- my impression is that most users are either neutral or quite positive. I was taking it for ADD and it didn't help enough with concentration (so now I take Adderall) but it did provide energy and some mood improvement without edginess. I took 100 mg a day for a short while, and would use it again.

I too hated wellbutrin, it made me very anxious and irritable. I love the provigil. I take 100 mg in the morning and usually take another 100mg mid-afternoon. I had been falling asleep on my feet from the zoloft I was taking at the time. I am on prozac now but I am staying on the provigil because it does cause a lift in mood without side effects for me. But, I tried to just take my buspar and provigil to see if I could get off the SSRI and it didn't work. It won't work for me as a mono-therapy. But I sure love it as part of my regimen.
