In reply to Nardil users- your highest ever dose??, posted by ace on December 15, 2003, at 6:54:59
I'm just wondering, if doses beyond a certain point do achieve more in terms of MAO inhibition, or if additional doses are doing more in terms of GABA activity.
I know little about the subject, but isn't there a dose, beyond which little additional MAO can be inhibited ???

Scott, was that a single dose? Please tell me all.I heard of this chap who over a period of many years raised to that level to maintain therapeutic efficacy- people go up to 100-120mg Parnate quite a lot- do you see the plausibility of doing the same with Nardil.
I mean, I believe up to a certain level (maybe 140-170mg)Nardil may have continued benifit- tell me what you think.
Also where do you stand on the GABA issue of higher doses?
Thanks mate,
Ace.

Hi Ace:
Are you asking these questions because you are thinking of raising your dose of Nardil? You are on 90 mg.... is that right?
I hear it is going well for you with Amisalpride(sp). Would you mind telling me what this is indicated for? It isn't addictive is it?
Thank you as always.
So happy that you are feeling so well.

Nardil is working awesome for anxiety right now and cool for depression. But I am pushing again for the euphoric effects I had a while ago. I have restarted it a few times- this is silly 'cause it takes longer each time to reach those euphoric effects. Took a guy 16 weeks once!

Not addictive. It is indicated for my OCD and to try and push back that euphoric feel.
