Hi,
Just made an EXTENSIVE report with Pfizer product safety about my issues with breakthrough
anxiety and depression, side effects, the need to increase my doseage for the first time in 12 years, etc. etc.
The woman I spoke with was very nice, and took down detailed notes to be forwarded on. She said they might
contact me with more questions and that they might want to analyze the pills I've received.
PLEASE, if you are having issues with the new Nardil, and if you haven't already, call and do the
same thing I did! They NEED to have this info from all of us! Also, if one of you is too sick to deal I can apparently call on your behalf.. just let me know...

is it pointless to get a prescription for nardil now that it has been altered?

I definitely think you should get a prescription anyway.
The impression that I'm starting to get as I adjust to the new Nardil after taking the old is that the new Nardil still has the same amount of phenelzine sulphate in it, but for all the people who've been taking Nardil for years, this new format is absorbed at a different rate or in a different way so that all of a sudden we're all having reactions like side effects and withdrawals. I'm having to do things like tweak the dosage and change around frequency and timing of taking my pills and such. It sucks, but I can tell that the 'magic' ingredient is still there....
And as a new Nardil user, you'll be having to tweak the dosage, etc. to figure out what works for you, and in the meantime you'll experience side effects, but you would anyway. It is just really startling and scary for people like me to be dealing with those sorts of issues after all these years of no problems on Nardil, but I believe I will adjust, assuming we can't all somehow force Pfizer to start making Nardil the way they used to!What I'm saying, though, is go for it ;)
This is the end of the thread.
