Can anyone out there answer a few questions regarding zyprexa ?
1. Zyprexa is notorious for increasing the appetite but I am wondering if it also slows down or stops metabolism. I have read conflicting reports on this and would like some clarification.
2. What is the half-life of zyprexa?
3. What is a typical dose to take for insomnia (I am BPII)?
4. Has anyone had success taking Metformin in conjunction with the zyprexa to minimize weight gain? If so, what dose of zyprexa and metformin are you on?
If anyone could help me out with these questions, I would greatly appreciate it.

From what I understand Zyprexa causes weight gain by both increasing appetite AND slowing metabolism.
