wellbutrin XL question..can I take two 150's?

Posted by Rainee on November 18, 2003, at 6:48:59

If I want to ramp up to 300 from the 150 can I take two 150 XL or do I have to wait to see the doc and get the 300 XL? And did anyone find the XL weaker than the SR?

Thank so much,
Rainee

I called Glaxo just yesterday (919-483-2100) with the same question and they said that's fine to take two 150mg's, no different than taking a single 300mg tablet. Just more expensive if you're paying for them.

NOOOOOOO.... you can not take 2 150 mgs at the same time of wellbutrion. You can space them out 8 hours or so but not at the same time.. The difference with the new 300mg is that you take only one pill and the 300mg will not harm you. I I did not notice a difference going from 1 150mg in the morning and 150mg at night to equal 300mg, then to taking the new pill. I think it works the same ... i feel the same... its good...
