Hi: I was just taken off prozac abruptly against my will, which caused hypersexuality which was very disturbing. Has anybody had this side effect coming off Prozac? I had been celibate for 7 years on Prozac!! and when I came off it, was wild to say the least. I'm a 42 yr old female. Look forward to hearing your comments!

Same thing happened to me except with Paxil. I accidentally missed 3 doses (forgot to put it in my weekly pill container) and all of the sudden I was 13 again if you know what I mean.

how long after stopping prozac, did you feel hypersexuality? after days, after weeks,...?

Hi,
I've heard of some people taking "drug holidays" for a weekend from SSRI's to avoid the sexual side effects, so it sounds like this is not uncommon. I just started Prozac...
