Anyone had a problem with generic Remeron?

I am wondering if anyone else has had a problem with taking the generic form of Remeron?

What exactly is the problem? Do you feel that it is less effective? My doctor recently prescribed Remeron (mirtazapine) for me and encouraged me to use the name brand. He doesn't think that generics are universally equivalent to the original name brand preparations. He has seen a big difference with paroxetine (Paxil) in particular, having had people relapse into depression after making the switch to the generic.

I've noticed and increase in my anxiety and having some break through depression. I am awaiting my preceription of the Brand name Remeron that is coming in the mail. I will let you know if I feel a difference once I am back on the regular stuff. If I were you and you can afford it, go with the brand name. I agree, generics aren't the same as the brand names and usually worth the extra cost. I was trying to see if I could save $20 per month by switching to the generic.
