Hey Ace a question about Nadil

Posted by Robert Fairburn on October 24, 2003, at 3:23:57

Hey Ace you say that Nadil reduces OCD by 65 % whcih according to my research is a pretty good response rate. Maybee you should agment with a very little amount of luvox, just to help increase seratonin amounts. I dont know if a pdoc would agree to this but I cant see how a little amount could hurt. Also Ace I do believe that you should get your blood/ Urine Chemistry checked out. I have learnt a large amount of my own unique body chemistry. Having this information has opened a large amont of treatment options for me that dont involve drugs. Now I know I suffer from the following problems

Low seratonin
Leaky gut syndrome and hence
Chronic low levels of Minerals ( hence low seratonin)
Short chain polypeptide leakage

More tests to come

Regards Robert

Cheers Robert

Can't do it! It can cause a serotonin syndrome. But other serotonergic meds I CAN augment with are Pindolol, Lithium, Zyprexa (low-dose) and more. But I don't believe serotonin is the problem with my OCD. Or it's only part of the problem.

Unfortunately, even a small amount is very likely to precipitate a serotonin syndrome.

Had it checked- it's cool!

Thanks Robert! Do you have OCD yourself? It can be real hard to nail it, but with perseverance I believe you can!

With the probs you have, what sort of things are you doing for them?

Thanks again mate,

Ace.

Ace

I accept about what you say about not taking a weak ssri to help your ocd.
When you say that you have checked your blood chemistry, does that mean you have had the standard set of test, or a complete work out. I had the standard set of test that the pdoc gave me and they showed very little. Then I went to a naturopath when then set me to a advanced clinic where I spent the whole day being pocked and prodded, plus having lots of blood removed at various stages ( YUK)

These test then showed some interesting facts

My motto now is test and test untill you find what is going wrong

Cheers Robert

Ps I suffer a little bit from OCD ,,, enough to know it sucks big time
