Effexor XR and Strattera-Day 1

Posted by KimberlyDi on September 5, 2003, at 13:01:32

Well hello guys and girls!

I went to the PDoc yesterday, Thursday, and she switched me from Effexor (non-XR) 3x100mg daily, to 2x150mg of Effexor XR PLUS added Strattera to the cocktail. 1x40mg for the first 4 days, then 2x40mg afterwards.

Being on Effexor non-XR seemed to increase my ADHD symptoms to the point where it was mentioned negatively in my last employee review. It was definately becoming a problem.

I took 1 150mg of the Effexor XR and 1 40mg of Strattera this morning. Haven't felt too much difference except that I was yawning and feeling jittery by noon.

PDoc said it may take up to a month for me to notice any difference the Strattera makes.

<Fingers crossed>
