Has anyone heard of Pikamilone (Picamilon)?

Posted by Sarahcat9 on August 25, 2003, at 22:45:51

Has anyone heard of or tried a Russian drug called Pikamilone which supposedly is an antidepressant plus anti-anxiety plus enhances memory? It sounds too good to be true but I'm so tempted to be a human guinea pig...

Thanks so much for any info.

Michael Bell tested it a while ago, and it AFAIR definitely helped his social phobia at 50 mg dose, and at 100 mg dose he felt energized/stimulated. If you want further information try doing a search on Michael Bell posts on Picamilon/Pikamilon/Picamilone.

Very interesting drug, or should I say supplement.
Nr.1 on my "try-this-med-next". Many beneficial effects on the brain, cardiovascular system, memory, anxiety and depression. Considered a smart-drug.

Too bad US websites are charging 10 (!) times as much as the pharmacies in Russia/Ukraine.

BTW: does anyone know what happened to Michael? I haven't seen him on this board for quite a while.

Picamilon is the best -- especially if you're looking for something very gentle. I find it very worthwhile to take... very much worth the money. It's slightly relaxing and stimulating, and none of those annoying thymoanesthetic effects. I know of a site that sells 100mg capsules (60 count) for $29.95, which is half what most sites charge.

They are still ripping people off, because they know that it is almost impossible to import picamilon from russia/ukraine where 50mg x 30 tabs costs $1 (!) And looking at all the russian studies done on picamilon - this supplement seems fantastic and with no side-effects.

I find Picamilon mildly helpful -- sort of stimulating and relaxing at the same time. Even at 200-300 mg, though, the effects are subtle for me. It's an interesting drug, and not outrageously expensive, even at American prices.

I know from reading the previous thread on Pikamilone that we are not supposed to share information on certain websites that sell prescription drugs here, but we can share e-mail addresses if we wish. (Dr. Bob, I am new to this so please let me know if this is not OK).

Sorry, but I consider using this site to share email addresses and then using those email addresses to share information to be an indirect way of using this site to share information.
