According to "Mosby's Drug Guide for Nurses", the benzodiazepine Centrax (prazepam) hits its peak at six hours after administration, and has a duration of "up to 48 hours". Has anyone tried Centrax who can verify this? I think I may have tried it in the past, but I'm not sure... it's all such a blur.

Is this one available in the US? I can't find any information on it.

This is another benzo that I never hear anyone mention, though I know it's available in the U.S. It has the following pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic profile (which, other than the half-life, makes it seem quite similar to Ativan):
Absorbtion -- Well-absorbed
Distribution -- Widely distributed, crosses placenta
Metabolism -- Liver, extensively
Excretion -- Kidneys, breast milk
Half life -- 2 hr, 30-100 hr active metabolite
Onset -- Unknown
Peak -- 1-3 hours
Duration -- 3-6 hoursAnyone have any experience with this drug?
