Hi to all who responded with support for my Remeron side-effects woes! To update;I didn't take it at all on Sat. night, cuz I REALLY needed to function on Sunday (sons B'day). DID NOT SLEEP WELL AT ALL! However, during the day all my side-effects disappeared. No drowsiness, dizziness, uncoordination, no slurred speech, irritability, stiff knees/ankles and NO EDEMA! So I'm sure they were caused by the Remeron, rather than withdrawing from Celexa. Then Sunday night I took 45mg (up from 30) and WOW what a great day today! After a wonderful long sleep, I was groggy for about an hour. Then slightly foggy at times, but NO uncoordination, NO dizziness, NO irritability and NO EDEMA! Hooray. Hope this continues....am prepared for changes since this drug has a real long half-life in women, but so far I'm very optimistic. I go to see my doc on Thurs and will tell him about this board for his other patients. You guys are wonderful, thanks :) And to others having struggles, hang in there and keep trying!

In reply to Yeay.! Higher Remeron dose seems to be MUCH better, posted by Jasmine Neroli on July 21, 2003, at 22:52:53
Hey, that's great to hear Jasmine. I just want to add that I feel the same way after upping my remeron, and adding celexa, it's working really well. I actually felt really good today! This is deffently a good combo, like I said on my other post, I'm now taking 37.5mg remeron and 20mg of the celexa. And it's working better than any of the SSRI'S, which I've tried almost all, and better than the effexor, because it's giving me good sleep and no night sweats. So anyway, here's to feeling good!
Take care,
Anton.

Thanks PP! Day 3 at higher dosage and still no side effects :). I am not sleeping quite as soundly now, but still much better than before. Good luck with your combo!
