I recently added Strattera (atomoxetine) to my treatment regime for bipolar depression. Things are starting to look up.
Currently:
lamotrigine (Lamictal) - 200mg
imipramine (Tofranil) - 300mg
atomoxetine (Strattera) - 80mg
aripiprazole (Abilify) - 10mgSomeone please cross their fingers for me!
(A little prayer would be welcome as well)
Trying not to hope too much...

That is excellent news!
You have been working so hard to cope with your depression, and been so helpful to many other posters (including myself) that I am sure there are plenty of crossed fingers here!

> BlondegirlI started at 18mg and moved the dosage up a little bit every two days. So far, I feel no agitation. I have been at 80mg for over a week.

I'm sorry for you. But to be honest, the antipsychotic seems to me counter-productive. I would remove that stuff. Talk to your doctor about that.
Second of all, you might think to add an agent to remove the sensitization of your postsynaptic 5-HT. An agent like the Lithium or Buspirone might do the work nicely.
If i remember correctly, you have at the moment a bipolar depression resistant? Am i right? Your fire-in fire-out responses to the meds sound a lot like me. This is why i suggested the above agents. Just a though.
Good luck!

WHAT? Just like that?
Hey, how many days are you measuring as "not working"? Could it possibly be just a slump?

My life story. 3-5 days of remission followed by relapse and no further improvement despite increased dosing and months of continued treatment.
> Hey, how many days are you measuring as "not working"? Could it possibly be just a slump?I HOPE SO. It is possible. I have been feeling bad since Monday night, so I guess it is really too early to pronounce the patient dead. :-)

I hope it is just a slump, too. I really want you to feel better.

I haven't felt anything encouraging since last Monday. I decided to increase the Strattera from 80mg to 120mg and allow a few weeks to see if it's got any magic left in it.
