I am on 50mg of Zoloft and love it for depression...but two side effects that I can't stand are weight gain and sexual dysfunction. I can reach climax but am unable to have an orgasm. It is almost painful! I hate this so much and was just wondering if there is a known SSRI that doesn't cause this to happen. Thanks.

Hi KRM123,
Yes it is very well known and documented that SSRIs give sexual dysfunction. Some are worse than others. But you have to test them by yourself. I suggest to you that you stay on Sertraline and add a small amount of buproprion or remeron or buspirone. They help to reverse this pesty side effect. Or again, you can try the herb Gingko Biloba.
Good luck!
Max
