I would simply start low on immediate release dexedrine, see how much it takes to get working for you, then switch to the Dextrostat-- otherwise it's like jumping from the long diving board before knowing how to hop in the pool.
Try not to assume too much from your experience with Adderall XR, you may not even require an extended release version with the Dexedrine to begin with.
Certainly, Adderall XR is not a reliable indicator for dosing a different long-acting stim to begin with. These meds are long-acting for very complicated reasons, and each one for different reasons.
And also keep in mind your need for Adderall XR in the first place-- let's say, to offset a side-effect from the regular Adderall- may not exist with immediate release Dexedrine.
But I think it's more prudent to begin with immediate release dexedrine as a trial before trying an extended release of it. And there's also Desoxyn you can try, but that doesn't have an extended release yet (they're working on it, expect it in like 5-10 years)

> BlondegirlSpansules are made in 5, 10, and 15 mg strengths. Half of the dosage is released immediately, the other half more slowly. Adderall XR is a slow-release med. You may need to take two doses of Dex. spansules to get a similar effect. Dunno, I would suppose taking two 15mg spansules first thing in the AM, then taking a 3rd 15mg spansule approx. 6 hrs. later might be the closest way to approximate it.
