My dr. finally agrees with me that SSRIs are not the class of ADs for my chemistry. I'm now only taking Wellbutrin SR and doing well. I quit Prozac almost two weeks ago, my question is how long before this stuff gets out of your system completely? My reason for quitting is that it make that spacey unreal anxiety symptom worst. Since I've quit the derealization is not as intense, and my pdoc thinks it will get better.
Any input?
Thanks

Hey edgefield,
I think it takes about 1-2 months to clear the system, it has a very long half life, which means its pretty easy to quit, even cold turkey and not suffer any withdrawal. Good Luck, hope you start to feel better!

Thanks JaneJJ. Did you ever take Prozac? So I'm believing that in a month or less this spacey feeling should be gone once all of the Prozac wears out of my system.
God Bless

I've quit prozac several times and always around the 3rd week had really bad anxiety and temper. Once I toughed it out for about 3months and it never got easier so I returned to prozac.
