Hi,
I can't tolerate every SSRI at full dosage, but i can well tolerate Prozac or generic fluoxetine at half dosage (10 mg).
Could you report any experience of trials at this under therapeutic dosage?
I am afraid that i could not be effective at all!
Do you have any side effects?
If it works, how it helped you? How long did it take to be effective?
Thanxs for your help!
Bye

> JGmaxRelax, dosages are very idiosyncratic and completely relative;you may experience great improvements on 10mg, while it may take 40mg for someone else to achieve the same effect.
The results can be the same-the dosage irrelevant.
I take 10mg Prozac daily, and find it to be highly effective;I also take 200mg Lamictal, which serves as both a mood stabilizer and an AD in my case.
We all metabolise meds. differently, and react differently to various doses. There is no 'one size fit's all'.
It took me around 8 or 9 weeks to get the full(Prozac) AD effect, although I felt some benefit by week 2.
I experienced a little nausea to begin with, but little else by way of side effects.
You may well derive benefits from 10mg- some(especially med. sensetive types) get results from 5mg or even less.
Best,Col.

Just 5 mg turned out to be optimal for me. Once again, it's all relative.
