I called two pharmacies (to double check!) and found out there is NO 125mg DepakoteER TABLET. There is only that 125 Sprinkles capsule which cannot be combined with a 250 ER tablet because they work differently.
Ritch, if you read this, did you go on 375 mg of DepakoteER? If so, HOW? Did you take three of the sprinkle capsules? Did you manage to cut one pof the 500 mg tablets which are so thick they're like horsepills? I'd probably break my pill cutter trying to do that! HELP! Thanks.

Don't cut the pills! You can take a 250mg ER tablet along with a 125mg Sprinkle capsule (ask your doctor not the pharmacy-I've mixed these before). They also make a 125mg "EC" tablet (enteric coated). The ER version simply has a delayed peak blood level that is smoother which allows taking it once a day.
