> I have been taking lexipro for about a month. I'm not sure if its really working or not. It makes me feel like i've done acid stayed up all night and its 5am and i'm tired and wired. (remember that feeling?)Not good. I can feel it in my jaw. That weird wired feeling. I did lose my appetite and lost weight, but that seems to have returned. Not sure if I should try something else or continue? any thoughts?

That's a tough question to answer. You should check with your doc. You may need a larger dose or a smaller dose. Or maybe another drug to take with the Lexapro, or instead of it.

At some point in the future, if you still clench your jaw, you can get a mouth guard to wear when you sleep either from your dentist or from a pharmacy.

Dr told me Lex might take 6-8 weeks to work, I actually felt like it was working in week 9. One month may not be long enough to know if it will work for you.

The jaw clenching is a side effect of Lex. At first it can be very intense (my teeth were KILLING me) but it did lessen greatly with time. I still occassionally notice I am clenching, though it is mild and I can stop easily. This is the only SE I still have...at 4 mos.
