Yes, but you have to get it via a private prescription- total cost about £11.00 and more importantly have a doc who is not an anti benzo maniac, as you may well know they would much rather prescribe seroxat over here, and if you saw last sundays panorama you will appreciate how absolutely crazy that is!!

Arent all docs anti benzo?!!!

Sadly in the uk , the vast majority are so stupid, you can just imagine them in a few years:
" no you cant have seroxat, its addictive!"
Xanax has been a lifesaver for me, I only use it occasionally now, but it also goes in my pocket all the time and has a magnificent value in there!
Iwould think that you might have more luck with a different doc, or at least ask him to give you 7 0.5 tabs to try and let him know you only intend them for prn usage.
Iwould of course offer to send you some were that not rather naughty and it would also betray my docs trust and he and I get on fabulously, he was though the 6th I saw and the other 5 were ****holesGlenn

Yep, your exactly right about the seroxat, can see that happening!
Sometimes you get people who want to abuse benzo's, but surely doctors can see when someone is really anxious and distressed? You would think so anyway!! Thats why Im a bit weary of mentioning any drugs to the doc. Have you ever done that? Was it succeseful? I mean I dont even think I would need them, as you say, just the fact that I had them would be a comfort in itself!

Wel I can mention anything to mine and he will consider it, that's how I got the xanax, after a visit to Dr Jensen in California!
However I cannot speak to your doc, most of them hate it if you do that, they seem to feel very threatened.Glenn
