Just want to let anxiety sufferers know that 5 mg Zyprexa combined with 1 - 2 mg clonazepam is a great combination for treating severe, chronic anxiety. I know there are risks, but I have reached the point where the constant (untreated) anxiety is a far greater risk to life and limb.

I'm glad to hear that that 5 mg Zyprexa combined with 1 - 2 mg clonazepam is a great combination for treating severe, chronic anxiety for YOU. Isn't it wonderful when we find that *magical* combination of meds that actually WORK for us!?!
And now I hate to rain on your parade but that combo knocked me off my feet (literally) -- far too sedating and then the Zyprexa started increasing my appetite.
I'm still on 2 mg of Klonopin, but no more Zyprexa.

Great to hear dude! How long have you been on the Zyprexa? For anxiety I heard it takes a while to kick in?
I'm seriously considering it myself, but I am worried about the insomnia on withdrawal. When do you take your dose and do you smoke tobbaco?

Hi,
I suspect the Zyprexa will stop being a good anti-anxiety drug in a few months. Antipsychotics did not have any lasting anti-anxiety effects for me. I think the clonazepam is a better med for anxiety.
I hope you are taking the Zyprexa every day and not using it as-needed. Stopping and starting an AP increases the risk of TD. I hope this helps.
