It feels like it's backfiring or something. I have aortic valve prolapse and I have had this feeling before. Anyone know why this happens?

Too much fish oil can cause problems.
I was was taking 6g of fish oil, and for about
2 hours just after taking celexa I would have
a semi panic state and by heart would have
doubble beats, and backfires etc. I had to reduce
the dosage.Here's what I think........
SSRI's normally lower dopamine over time
but when you boost it with fish oil there can
be a large surge of dopamine release with the
SSRI. Dopamine has a lot to do with pulse rate
and heart rythm. If the fish oil is causing heart problems, you
might be overdoing the dopamine side of things. For some Wellbutrin can cause heart problems.
Just an Idea

I take fish oil regularly and don't have that problem, but because I ran out of fish oil and the store was out of stock, I bought the cod liver oil instead, just to hold me over utnil I got the fish oil. I feel like I might have had a reaction to the cod liver oil yesterday--horrible akithisia! I didn't take any today. The akithisia is calming down some now. I couldn't sleep most of the night, even with a double dose of lorazepam (total of a half mg, which for me is a LOT). Stayed home from work today because I was feeling awful. Slept most of the morning. I have no idea if it is related the the cod liver oil or not, and it seems strange that it would happen with that form of omega 3 and not with the fish oil, which has been very good to me.
But your post makes me wonder.
This is the end of the thread.
