I have actually lost 6 pounds of my Remeron weight. I am working my butt off to get rid of the weight, but I think it's gonna be worth it! LOL! Just wanted to share. It IS possible to lose the Remeron weight. Seems to be easier now that I am on the 45 mg. dose.

I'm "new" here, but I just read your post (I've been scanning posts for info on Lexapro and weight gain) and I just wanted to say congratulations!!! Six pounds is significant!
Because I've battled stubborn weight gain on and off for years I know that 2 or 3 pounds can be a major victory (so 6 pounds, in my book, is an incredible victory!).
I gained 50 pounds over about eight years (early menopause PLUS Prozac - a lethal combination) and it's taken me TWO years to get 25 of it off (which is an average of about a pound a month - kind of like watching an iceberg melt). It's no easy task - especially when meds are playing with your metabolism.
Congrats again, and keep up the good (and hard) work! I would be doing a happy dance, too, if I were you!

Hey, that's great to hear! So, the higher dose theory leading to less weight gain probs with Remeron seems to hold true in your case. It must be nice to be taking a med that works well, AND find a way to ameliorate a troubling side effect. That is worth dancing about!
