Seroquel

Posted by canwetalk on March 26, 2003, at 15:59:39

My daughter was put on Seroquel today. She is taking 200mg am and 200mg pm. She was on 15mg of Abilify but was taking off because it really was not agreeing with her.

My concern now is with this med. Are there any serious side effects I should be on the look out for. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is your daughter bipolar? I take Seroquel at night 50mg and have been on it for about 2 months. It makes me very sleepy. The only side effect I have had is dry mouth and groggy in the morning. I really like Seroquel. It does take a while to get used to it. Good Luck.

I take 100 mg of Seroquel at night for sleeping, it makes me drowsy or else it's a case of awake one minute, conked out the next. I discovered that it as a sleep aid by accident.

So, for me, Seroquel is sedating at 100 mg. However, I know of two people who each take 900, yes 900 mg of it and apparently are not sedated at all.

I'm sure there are other side effects than sedation (which isn't even a side effect for everyone) -- do a search on it. Good luck.

Hi I take 300 mgs at night (only about fifth day on it) and it makes me slightly sedated. I dont know if it has a cumilative effect or what, or if it can do other things than help sleep and schizo. im mildly bi polar.
