They make a concentrated, pure, odor free pruduct. You can order some once or get a subscription. Very good stuff.

omegabrite is excellent stuff but their customer service is not very good. i have had delayed shipments and supply interruptions several times.

> TepiacaI'm taking Carlson's liquid fishoil now. It is made in Norway. You get 40 doses for about $16. Each teaspoon has 800mg EPA / 600mg DHA. It's well.. oily, but it isn't fishy at all. I just take one teaspoon/day with a meal. AFter you open it you need to keep it in the fridge, though. It's not very portable either, but I just take one teaspoon and that is OK with me.

I wondered if the two or three stores in the town I lived happened to carry it. They did-so I didn't need to order any. But, you can order it.

I'm new to this... so you are saying that cod liver oil is good for depression? I would like to hear more about this. How much do I need to take, and does it matter if it's the gelcaps or is the liquid form better? I guess my mother was right in forcing us to take our cod liver oil daily when we were children :)

The only problem with cod liver oil vs. Fish oil is that the cod liver oil contains a lot of Vitamin A and D, so you have to take that into account. Depending on how much vitamin A and D you already ingest, and depending on the amount of the oil you take, this could be a potential problem, if you take too much of these vitamins. Fish oil (not from livers) usually doesn't contain the vitamins. BTW, I think that the practice of giving kids cod liver oil was probably about giving them enough Vitamins A and D, before these were regularly added to milk.
