Hi all,
I'm currently taking 100mg/day of clomipramine(anafranil) because of its NE reuptake inhibition properties, it´s working but the med has sexual side effects I can´t live with, no impotence but takes me hours to reach climax. I was thinking about reboxetine which is, as far as I know, a selective NE reuptake inhibitor, what I wanna know is how it affects my sexuality, does it cause impotence etc. And any other side effects, please let me know if you have experiences with this med. Success and nosuccess stories.
Thank you,
tensor

It's not the NE reuptake inhibition of clomipramine that causes orgasmic delay, it's the serotonin reuptake inhibition- which is quite powerful. Clomipramine is actually used to treat premature ejaculation. I don't think you would have this problem with any of the other tricyclics, or with reboxetine or atomoxetine (Strattera), which do not affect serotonin at all.
