if anyones has tried lexapro for a good time and quit why did you quit, ans was it good for ANXIETY(this is me),my point im on week 5 ,lex at 10mgs anxiety is still bad seems never had depression only anxiety person, but i have started taking diazapam(benzo ) and that works 2.5mgs 2 X's a day ,im thinking should i just stay on daizapam and quit Lex? ill ask my dr> but what feedback could you all give me on your experience thanks!

I have never tried LEX but I was on Celexa for a long time--I have to say it took around 8 weeks for it to relieve my anxiety. I would raise the dose of Lex and give it AT LEAST another month but stick with the diazepam. Benzo's are great but they can cause some depression so if you can get good relief on an ssri, it is better in the long run. Just my opinion.
