Anyone had experience combining SSRIs? I've heard one positive report with Prozac and Lexapro. I'm wary though of serotonin syndrome.
Thanks.

Hi,
I personally have not ever been on 2 SSRI's BUT, my sibling has been on Wellbutrin AND Zoloft-it didn't help. Now is only on Zoloft and seems to be doing pretty good. Sorry I can't be of more help to you, but I hope this helped a little?

Hi Ace,
I've been looking for examples where combining SSRIs caused serotoninergic syndrome and haven't found any. The literature mostly is concerned with combining MAOIs with SSRIs or other drugs. Based on this it's hard to tell how risky it is. My pdoc thinks it's low risk as long as I take it slow. At this point for me the possibility of any kind of payoff is worth the risk.

I still don't recomend it. In my literature it is a big no-no. But of you doc thinks it's fine
I'd give it a try. BUT PLEASE BE VERY VERY CAREFUL. have the syptoms of serotonin syndrome always with you to make sure. Still...I think an antipsychotic would be best.Ace.
