Ok, time to be serious :-)
It is just a little note to let know that i'm virtually cured (with meds of course). But...
I'm feeling well and alive. Life is good. I have been feeling fine for almost a year now. I passed through an episode of extreme depression this summer which anyway has only lasted 4 days.
So enough babbling and here goes the dx:
- Bipolar II.
I was having very deep and serious depressions with mild hypomamic episodes and intense anxiety.
And now the meds:
- Lamictal 300 mg a day.
- Lithium (Duralith form) 300 mg x 3 a day (which gives me an average serum lithium level of 0.6 mEq./l).
- Synthroid 75 mcg a day.Side effects: none.
Drawback: 2 blood tests a year. Not so bad, isn't it?
I find it extremely positive and i wanted to share it with you. Oh! And i tried almost every meds for this condition and symptoms, even Snail oil, salt and pepper ;-)
I'll be around for a couple of days.
Have a good week, folks!
Max.

I'm glad to see you.
- Synthroid is for the treatment of my subclinical form of hypothyroidism.
- Hypomania... Well it is a mild form/level of mania. In my case, **my** hypomanias are marked by: irritability, anger, insomnia, increased energy, intense debiliting anxiety, increased libido, tendencies to laugh/cry at everything, poor judgement. Sometimes less, sometimes more.
- The **typical** antidepressant response for a bipolar I/II folk are both hypomania (not always) and poop out. They are the genuine signature of this illness. This is an infinit loop.
But (you have to write it down) *smile*, the depressions in bipolar I or II disorder are very deep and dreaded.
I hope this helps!
Max!
