I discontinued Lexapro 3 1/2 weeks ago. I did not notice any withdrawal effects initially but after 2 weeks I started having nausea several times a day (including lots of motion sickness), intermittent headaches, some dizziness and inexplicable nipple pain. Should I be thinking more in the direction of drug withdrawal or a home pregnancy test?

Um I would be thinking Pregnancy if I were you have you missed a period yet? Sometimes I get these symptoms when I have gained some weight, Estrogen is stored in FAT. Otherwise go get some blood tests, one that includes a pregancy test

Thanks for the feedback. I forgot to add that my period is about to be due (i.e., techinically, no missed period yet) but my ovulation/menstruation cycles have a life of their own, in terms of regularity. If it does not come right "on time" I will probably just take a test even though they are not particularly reliable at this early a stage.

I'd go for a home pregnancy test if I were you. I work in a hospital laboratory and the test is basically the same. I used home pregnancy tests on the first or second day of missed periods twice and they were correctly positive both times. I hope you feel better soon!
