look i honestly do not think they are going to pull the plug on nardil. anyhow by FDA law they have to give six months notice in advance. now i call pfizer everyday to check updates and last week they said just have your pharmacist call us and we will ship it drop box. i am currently off nardil and on zoloft and remeron. does not even compare to nardil. i have a one month supply of nardl and today i ordered my refill and it is in transit. probably get it thursday. ill washout and then start again. but today i called customer service and they said a new lot would be av at the end of january. who knows if they are lying???
in this day and age i dont think a huge company like pfizer would lie. and get bad press and see their stock go down.
why cant everyone call and reply to the board what they heard from pfizer?

I tried that combo too - Remeron 15 + zoloft 25 I think was the combo I liked or else 15 and 50 but more sedating. Anyway - I found it pretty inferior to Nardil also.
Hope you give decent washout Ross for the nardil. In interim Klonopin often ain't bad at low dose either. 1mg/day or so for 2 weeks it will usually stay effective at that low dose.
I like your idea of the combo though in the interim. Good idea how did you come upon that combo?

what's up? the combo i thought up of was because zoloft is the most powerful ssri throughout the dosage ranges. 50mgs can be equal to 200mgs. and remeron has no affinity for 5ht1 so i figured it was always good for me with anxiety so add a small amount of zoloft and you will not be depressed and it somewhat takes the edge off SP.
my washout periods consist of 7 full days. 14 is a little crazy and not needed.
what do u think is going on with nardil? you think it was just the recall? i hope so. because i cannot find a better drug for everything......
im on klonopin-- 4mgs and neurontin 2400mgs.

Great to hear from you! You sound good! Interesting your discovery and thoughts on the combo for temporary use. I had tried both Z and Rem each seperately with K. The R after a few weeks left me angrier and depressed - I think the strong 5ht-3 and 5ht-2 blocking effects of this drug and strong NE potentiation make R basically a strong NE ruptake inhibitor + strong anticholinergic. I found actually at just 7.5 Rem it would abolish ALL sexual and sedative effects I get from 50 Z, totally prosexual and TOTAL SOCIAL ANXIETY!!! I guess it was interesting though because sure was a quick way to probably safely obliterate quickly all sexual side effects of Zoloft.
Anyway - are you taking the K + GPPTN in addition to R + Z or separate? How is that working?
On Nardil - I think it probably was what they said - a recall.
There are many psychotropics which can interact dangerously nowadays with MAOI's and if the MAOI's weren't so damn effective I wouldn't be suprised if they were knocked out by economic forces.
If they come up with something that works as effectively as the 3 current USA MAOIS do for so many conditions (which they clearly have not) - then I would not be suprised to see the MAOI's banned but I don't expect it anytime soon...
