Just started Depakote Thursday, so far so good. Just wondering if anyone has tried Depa/Wella together and what the results were?

Hi,
I've been on Depakote since 1994. In 1995, Wellbutrin was added and my mood shot up. Wellb is a more energizing AD than others. It really is great. For me, however, I needed an extra lift in the Seratonin department, so in 1997 was also put on an SSRI AD. That made my mood shoot up even more. I'm almost back to feeling "normal", that is, as I did before bi polar illness really got a hold of me. But it's stil not enough. I've been taking SAM - e for ten days now and really feel better than I have on other prescription ADS. I'm almost getting there! I'm still on Wellbutrin (300 mg), Depakote (500), Serzone (250) and now SAM - e (200). You're experience with Wellb and Dep should be a positive one. Give it a couple months. I'm assuming you're bi polar 2?

Thanks for replying. I often wonder about these mixes...
I feel awesome--it's amazing. I am only taking 150 WB and 75 of depa......but after the first day of sleepiness, I feel wonderful. Very energized, but I do seem to get a bit cranky around 4 p.m.
My stomach has been hurting a bit..and I feel a little, uh, stoned about 30 minutes after I take the depa....have you had that experience? I added the omega-3 complex to my diet today and added cal/mag/zinc and an ultra-prenatal. Doc says I am cyclo..when I was 16 I was dx'd with manic depression...I think it just changes as time does, but, yet I think I am BP2.
Hell, I know I am. Just not Mr. Jones.
I feel like I have been gone for a long time and just got home. I am so happy to see everyone.
Very strange.
This is the end of the thread.
