do most people with ADD have mood disorders?
i find i have rapid mood swings depending on whether i'm interested in what's going on in the environment or not
is this because i am bp ][ + ADD or do all ADD people get this?
i also find when you arent' diagnosed and you can't satisfy everyone's expectations of you when it comes to concentrating, you tend to get frustrated and depressed......
and people always expect you to concentrate on something or another...so do most ADDers suffer from depression?

According to what Dr. Edwin Hallowell wrote in his book ‘driven to distraction’; approx. 40% of people with A.D.D have it ‘comorbid’ with a mood disorder. I myself have a mild case of BipolarII along with Ring of Fire A.D.H.D. If you’re interested in finding out more about the interactions between these conditions, I would recommend the book ‘Shadow Syndromes’ by John Ratey and Catharine Johnson. It is an extremely well written guide to this topic. Reading it offered me both peace of mind and practical advice.Good Luck!

Leor,Has your pdoc or neuro diagnosed you with "Ring of Fire" ADHD, or is it really a shorthand way of saying you have comorbid ADHD and BipolarII? Just curious, because I have a similar problem. What meds/dosages are you taking now, and are they working for you?
thanks in advance,
Mitch
