Hello. I am wondering whether it is possible to take my daily dosages of DL-Phenylalanine (750 mg.) & L-Tyrosine (500 mg) at the same time (namely when I awake in the morning)? If not, then how much time should I let elapse between dosages?
In a past post someone reported that L-tyrosine could not be taken at the same time as an amphetamine. It was suggested that 4 hours should elapse between taking the DLPA and the dexedrine. This information was, unfortunately, not specific enough for me. I take 10mg
of dexedrine tablets three times each day (in other words I use a minimal dosage) Does anyone have suggestions about how much time I should let elapse between taking the L-tyrosine and the amphetamine.Thaniks!

There is no need to take them at separate times. They will compete with each other, but the net effect will be to limit some conversion of one of the isomers of phenylalanine to tyrosine, until the tyrosine is used up.
