Hi,
Just wanted to let everyone know how things are going with Paxil CR. I've been on it for about 4 weeks or so, and the last couple of days my dose has been increased to 37.5mg. It's effect is definitely very positive so far for my severe depression and social anxiety. I know it can take up to 12 weeks to exert its effect on social anxiety and am interested to see exactly how much Paxil CR is going to help CBT along. I'd be justified in taking it even if it doesn't get better than this, but I'm sure 12 weeks will be superior to 4 weeks. As far as side-effects... I have some sedation or lack of motivation, and tremor. The good news for me is that the sexual side-effects have been minimal and continue to be at 37.5mg. The mystery, as I said before, is that I experienced complete sexual dysfunction when taking regular Paxil. I'm also on Lamictal, Depakote, and Synthroid, but it seems unlikely that any of these would combat SD. Obviously, this is just my experience and is probably unlikely to be the same for most other people, but hey, you never know?
