Hi,
I'm going to get a root canal and the past few days I've been prescribed Vicodin and Penicillin. I've been experiencing urinary hesitancy where the stream is slow to start and after it starts it stops and starts up again. That's not what's odd. My urine is completely clear like when you drink too much water and it's just passing through you, but I haven't been drinking too much. I feel like I'm on a diuretic because I have to go very frequently. Does anyone know if this could be because of the infection or the Penicillin or Vicodin. I'm also on Paxil CR, Depakote, Lamictal, and Synthroid. I've been taking Advil here and there as well. It seemed to start when I started P and V, but I'm not possitive. Anyone experience anything similar to this?

Anytime there is a change in your urine color, and you are taking a mew medication, you chould see a dr...
even a change from the typical color to clear can indicate a liver disorder, since this change is accompanied with urinary urgency, you may want to tell your doc.

I probably will call my doc to be sure, but I think I may have figured out the problem. The other thing that I've been doing the past few days is eating a lot of celery. I looked it up on the internet and I see lots of sites that talk about celery seed as a diuretic. Does anyone know if eating celery would have the same effect? It makes sense that it would, and then the diuretic effect of celery + the urinary hesitancy and water retention of Vicodin would explain what I'm experienceing. Anyone know?

I'd say that with the number of drugs
you're taking, i'm surprised your urine
isn't purple.'Nuff of that; well, yeah, actually i take
Synthroid and i think that makes you urinate
more frequently; and just by urinating more
frequently it would necessarily be clearer,
because you are extruding more water.that's my Cdn. 2 cents (and you know how
