Since starting Lamictal, I have noticed INcreased irritability.
Has this happened to anybody else here.
I'm thinking of 'ditching' it but, first I need to find out if that is what is causing the irritability.

> Thanks to anyone who responds.I'm now taking 200mg Lamictal/day. I have been for a couple of months, after slowly building up dosage. I do notice very increased irritability lately as well as an evaporation of the previously good effect on my mood. I hadn't attributed this to the lamictal, but now I'm not sure.

I've had such terrible irritability and anxiety with Lamictal and I'm only at 25mg twice daily. When I tried to increase as my doc had said to - I felt so incredibly terrible that all i could think about was suicide. Lamictal sucks for me. I don't know why I'm on it.

How long have you been on it (how long has the irritability/anger remained)?
If I were you, I would seriously consider switching to a different mood stabilizer (perhaps you could add some lithium (or another 2nd mood stabilizer to counter the lamictal effects).
