Anybody who has tried both, could you tell me what the differences are?
Any other alternative that I might want to know about?

In reply to Zyprexa vs. Seroquel?, posted by Michael D on November 14, 2002, at 19:25:54
Hi,
I gained a lot of weight on zyprexa and a lot of people do, but it did cause my paranoia to go away. I had to stop it because of sedation dizziness and weight gain, but it did work really well.
Seroquel I took with Depakote and I didnt gain that much more weight but i couldnt lose what i gained on the Zyprexa. That combo helped a lot with the paranoia too and i was feeling better but i had to stop taking it becuase of sedation. Im a trapeze artist so i cant take meds that cause too much sedation or dizziness.
Hope that helps a litlte.
Jen
P.S> Im on Geodon now on a very low dose and it has been by far the drug with the best side effect profile for me. I think it would work betteer if I took a bit more, but for now Im sticking with the dose Im on.
