Has anyone's dissociation been helped by meds? I have some version of it (mostly visual) which has been helped some by neurontin and was cured for a short term (a month or so)with lamictal. I'm wondering if there is a Ca++ ion connection. My doc has told me this is usually not an organic problem and thus isn't treated with meds. Having had the experiences I have had, I beg to differ and am hoping to find something.
Thanks for your input.

If you are fortunate enough to find the reason why you dissociate (and often it is anxiety), then benzos- xanax et al can help the anxiety and therefore help you cope w/o dissociating. Other than that, sorry, I have to agree with the therapy. good luck- judy
