I have a script for 10mg Lexapro. I am currently on 5mg Celexa and 100mg Wellbutrin IR 2x a day.
I've tried Paxil Zoloft and Buspar this combo works the best for me so far. I have minor s/e -sometimes major lack of sexual desire -not function- I binge eat - and procrastinate and get bored at social functions - don't drink or smoke any longer - it gets old watching everyone else enjoy themselves - I feel super conservative and prudy - just not so sure of who my friends are so don't want to bother to entertain. I would like to be less inhibited - hoping lex will work- I'm afraid to become anxious and depressed again if I change anything.

In reply to Celexa to Lexapro - is it worth it?, posted by bonnie_ann on October 14, 2002, at 20:07:26
That's a really tough question to answer. Even though there is room for improvement, at least your current meds are alleviating your anxiety and depression. So do you leave well enough alone, or go for further improvement?
I don't know what to advise you to do. I personally was on 60 mg Celexa (no other drugs) until a few weeks a go when I switched to 20 mg Lexapro. With Lexapro, I have less daytime tiredness. Also I feel more alert with Lexapro. Unfortunately, I still have the same degree of sexual side effects as I did with Celexa. Not terrible, but still there.
If you do decide to switch give it at least 2 or 3 weeks. If it doesn't work out, you can go back to Celexa. Also if you switch, keep taking the Wellbutrin. It's best to just make one switch at a time.
This is the end of the thread.
