I am making some big changes in meds because I gained fifty pounds this year. I am currently in the process of switching from celexa to lexapro and may switch from risperdal to seroquel next month. I am having withdrawal symptoms switching from celexa to lexapro (I feel like I have the flu and felt this way when I switched from imipramine to ssri's). I am wondering if any of yoou have tapered off risperdal and how bad the withdrawal was. just trying to prepare myself!

I was on Risperdal for 18 mos, 1 mg BID, gained 30+ pounds on it. I came off of it last December without a problem, I didn't notice any withdrawal symptoms, but I did notice that my appetite decreased substantially. I cut out half a tablet every 3 days and was off totally off in 9 days. Hope this helps.
