I'm currently taking 200 mg of Zoloft and 800 mg of Neurontin. The poop-out in the subject line is bouts of diarreah and stomach pain not the poop-out you normally see on these postings. (that's my feeble attempt at some humour!) It can be quite traumatic when you are out for a walk and it hits and you're still about 3 blocks from home!!!! Has anyone else experienced this with Neurontin, or can anyone give me some advice. I would be upset beyond words if I had to go off this as it is the first thing that has worked for me and I've been struggling with depression/anxiety for a long, long time. Well, gotta go, no really, I GOTTA go!!! (Just trying to find some humour again with this) Please HELP

Were you taking the zoloft successfully and
when adding Neurontin this happened? If so
they might not work together for you.Don't worry about this person singing the
praises of Neurontin! I didn't know anyone
was giving it for depression/anxiety. But I
did know that the company was encouraging docs
to try it for many things to see what it would
do. It doesn't do a whole lot!I take it as a secondary medication for
temporal lobe seizures and supposedly to help
with chronic regional pain disturbance. It's
seemed like a bandaid to me and recently, after
an increase, has me feeling worse rather than
better.There has to be something better then Neurontin
for *whatever* ails you---but that's just this
dissatisfied customer's opinion :)!Something else. When a medication goes
through you your digestive tract quickly you often
do not get a chance to adequately absorb correct amounts
of medication. So you might lose a lot of help
from a med that works with this problem.

... yeah my doc says neurontin causes diarrhea/loose stools.. which was always good for me, since ADs give me the opposite problem....
in fact i can even mix neurontin with flax seed oil and be okay.... i don't know if i got used to it, or if i am just a freak... :)

Hopefully, it'll settle down. I'm not going to increase it for a few days as I'm going to visit friends. Hmmmmm, a 10 hour drive. Wonder how that will go. I know there have been posts that say it doesn't work for depression, but for me it has been the only thing that has given me positive results. It gets better with each increase.
