Can anyone tell me if Wellbutrin can be safely combined with an MAOI, or would augmentation with a pstim be a better idea? Sorry for the dumb question but I am too sick and confused to look it up.

i know there was a journal entry with *one* patient who had been on the combo.. and the patient had felt no relief from other ADs or the MAOI alone...
having said that, it does seem like a potentially dangerous combo, so i wouldn't think of doing something like that without verifying with several sources .. or at least one good doc

I tried Nardil + Wellbutrin many, many moons ago; the result was enough agitation to discontinue the Wellbutrin.

Bad idea. Mixing an MAOI with any other AD is asking for big trouble.
If you need to goose an AD, a mood stabilizer is usually the way to go.
You need to talk to your doc- if you're sick and confused it's his/her job to fix you up.
